CFO resignation following on the heels of the disclosure of a $10 million loss to Sim card fraudsters, the introduction of pre-paid cards which tend to result in lower average revenue per user (ARPU), serious price-cutting by the competition, uncertainties regarding the international 3G standards decision expected in December, failure of the underfunded and understaffed GSM Alliance to raise awareness of GSM and to make roaming effortless, seamless and cheap, high corporate indebtedness during a period when banks under pressure could be disinclined to continue lending, doubts about management's ability to manage (cocky amateurs who have bit off far more than they can chew or experienced professionals?) are all big negatives.

Worst news is that for various reasons including savage competition and pre-paid cards, revenue growth is slower than expected. This in a consumer-confidence environment that has begun to deteriorate.
