re: Nickel supplies

Both Russia and Cuba have huge reserves which aren't currently hitting the market in any volume for political and economic reasons. I have a clip from American Metal Markets which claims one deposit in northeastern Cuba has 1.1 billion tons of "nickel laterites".

Somebody once said, where the Pope goes, peace breaks out. Now the Pope has been to Cuba, so can "peace" and correspondingly low nickel prices be far behind?
