likewise the crash is unexpected and worse than anyone predicted.

Given some of the predictions I've seen for Amazon here (bankruptcy within 12 months, IIRC), I don't see how that is possible.

Roger,

timing is very difficult with bubble stocks

So if I get in for a 1,000 shares at $80 and it goes to $120 I lose $40,000 on paper.

Given that the net is growing exponentially my paper losses could be for a long long time.

Why bother, I'm interested in your thought processes. Do you feel crash is immenent?

Hello Mr. Babb:
Looking at the 5 day price-volume chart for AMZN, it looks like it could have hit a hyperbolic apogee to me today, with volume in the first 2 hours today equal to normal volume. Wasn't this a characteristic of a bubble top?
