pass pass, very unlikely. Slim chance that ASND was entertaining such a huge acquisition (for them) when CIEN was trading much higher. Besides, they have been partnering with Pirelli. This is not to say that they would not be interested now, at a much cheaper price. But there is little chance that they were Comapny A. Company A was CSCO. Now Company A is stating that their criteria are no longer met. Gee, what a surprise. Maybe in 6-12 months, they will come knocking again.

Not much to keep the stock price up now, except buyout rumors. This is obvious. Fundamentals of this company right now are in the toilet.
Its now searching for its true current value.

maybe it was true. then asnd turned to spend money on sra. now it is probably not in a buying mood; it takes time to digest and spin off some of sra.

If you're correct, then ASND is a near-term short. The market will pummel it on announcement of any acquisition.
