I haven't done a thing. I remember, when I first installed NT, some six months ago, that it was only IE that would not hold the passwords, in between browser sessions. That may be the genesis of the .PWL files being in my mind. But frankly, I may be thinking of an issue in which 95 had a type of hotfix, (not a 95 term) in which some bug with the .PWL file was fixed. Ms had to patch this three times on 95 to get it right. Let me understand. Are you saying that whenever you have a browser window open, and are navigating around a p/w necessary site, you are re-entering that info every time you request a new page? Or are you talking about caching the information on to the HD, so it is there at the next browser session? I just assumed it was the browser that kept the p/w info cached in memory while the browser was open I think we are talking apples and oranges. The browser certainly caches the PW so you don't have to re-enter it on every page. I was talking about the ability to save passwords to the HD for future use after reboots etc. 95 can do the later. What the original user was asking may still remain uncertain. Sean
