We'll never know whether one of your guesses or something completely different was behind the trade. Maybe somebody has decided to take over MTSN and has the market makers acquiring shares...

Or it just be a matter of someone stupid enough to enter the order "at market" and they got taken for a ride by the MM's. Look at the sales right before and after that trade, they were both much higher.
