Overall the market is soggy. Especially MER and financials are doing poorly after yesterday's pop (and despite Hyper Jim Cramer's cheerleading). AMZN's instability may add to this picture. Now Greenspan has made it clear that he would cut rate on 9/29, what else can he do to solve the existng problems? Would lower rate bail out what remains of Long Term Capital?? If market realizes that the lower rate would not solve the current problems, the bear market could resume its descent. That in turn could take some air out of AMZN's speculative fever. ......... Badly gored but still hopeful bear.
