j_b,

You missed my point about pornography - I only advocate the illegality of violent & child pornography(they just inspire and/or encourage the lunatic fringe to commit crimes). Although, I do wonder about the level of natural sex drive in men who feel it's a necessity of life.(I'm not talking about nudity here......Playboy is probably harmless, as long as its not readily available to young children. -- can't say for certain though, since I'm not sure of its complete content)

I'm convinced that a civilized society protects its innocent children(that includes all of them up to at least the age of 13 or 14) from the baser side of life until they've matured to the point they can handle such things both emotionally & intellectually. Therefore, I advocate cleaning up the internet, since young people have such easy access to it these days.

I agree completely that Hollywood skews its products towards the unwholesome area. Evidently, those people who most frequently are willing to spend on movie tickets are more likely to do so for gratuitous sex & violence.

However, the huge turnout for a better quality movie such as Titanic probably does make an impact on film-makers. Just like any other business, their first priority is the bottom line.
