That quote from Starr has been posted over and over on this and many other threads, as has the Clinton quote from 1974 where he said any president who lies to the people ought to resign. Ad nauseum.

Don't you just love the thought of Starr going around purging people (as he puts it) left and right. Oh joy. Soon enough we will all be able to sleep easier, don't you think?

Perhaps we should appoint him for life as the Grand Inquisitor and Purger General.

Good idea?

Doug

<< Starr on pornography in the media: "Public media should not contain explicit or implied descriptions of sex acts. Our society should be purged of the perverts who provide the media with pornographic material while pretending it has some redeeming social value under the public's 'right to know'". >>

Of course, Starr didn't release any of the information to the media, the Congress did, based on an overwhelming bipartisan vote. Even 2/3 of the Democrats voted to release the information. Starr actually recommended that some of the material be withheld for various reasons. So you must be recommending that society purge itself of Congress, right?
