A local LA financial station did a comparison of market caps between internet companies and old time bluechips. One example: Having declined for its share price peak of 145, AMZN now has the market cap of some 5.4 Billions. Compare that to United Airline (UAL) with hundreds of 747 airplanes and thousands of hard working, loyal employees at market cap of 4.2 Billions.

So if you are the owner of this money losing internet retail bookstore loaded upto eyeballs with junk bonds with no real prospect of paying back bondholders......you have to ask yourself, how can I exchange this 'business' for entire UAL operation??? LOLOLOLOL
