WS, I loved the comment on CNBS today. "And Long Term Capital had some of the smartest people in the business running their money." Put your hands over your ears, because I'm going to shout this one: NO THEY DIDN'T! At least not if your definition of smart is an ability to judge markets and develop strategies that help you survive when you are wrong so you can print money when you are right. (BTW, I don't consider going to the banks hat in hand as a strategy) What they had were several coke snorting idiots trading on mathematical models developed by pointy-headed twits. The only amazing thing is that they lasted as long as they did. BTW, JOE G. where are you? Tell us again why "earning" a fake Nobel Price in Ergonomics is not that big a deal. -vbg- MB
