A very nice day! Hope some people took advantage of it . . . there will likely be some more upside if the market moves up but, otherwise, the inet sector will see a fairly quick reversal of the recent rally, IMO. Few stock sector movements, particularly those with so much investment industry support, just rocket up in a day or so and then plummet down the next. That would be HIGHLY unusual. But today was a very interesting day for the sector. the much anticipated eBay led rally failed to sustain itself. While eBay was up off its offering price, it was down consistently from where it opened. That despite the small amount of shares made available and the huge degree of interest in the market and press. eBay is a great company with a lot of ardent supporters - they deserve some credit. But that didn't mean that the stock would continue to trade up for the typical few days following the offering.

The inet sector had a solid reversal as hopes of the eBay led rally fizzled. Now what is there to propel the sector higher? More hype announcements from the majors? A big retail brokerage push? I doubt it. That may help to prevent a rapid decline or even move the stocks higher a small bit, but the rally is busted already, IMO. What broker in his right mind would push his clients into these stocks now? Oh sure, there will be numbers of mis-guided ones that remain unconvinced by todays failure but the momentum is lost.
