When did they decide to trap the President? Who was involved and what was the motive? Should be the questions asked in congress. The following are clips from todays LA Times about other Grand Jury testimony with some comments from me interspersed :

"Linda Tripp actively sought to seed the ground for a Clinton-Lewinsky relationship even before she new one had started many months before."

Tripp being a much older woman in a mentor confidante type of relationship with a younger woman told her quote:

"it would be a neat thing to tell the grandkids."
After Tripp learned that in fact they were having an affair, "Tripp influenced the relationship's course and took steps to ensure that it was traceable. Coaching Lewinsky on phrasing for letters to the President, coaxing her to prepare a computer spreadsheet detailing encounters and phone calls and working hard to keep the infamous dress out of the hands of dry cleaners."

The one thing they needed to get Starr involved was obstruction of justice, so Tripp tried to create some?
"Tripp pressed Lewinsky hard to demand that Clinton friend Vernon Jordan find her a job before she signed an affidavit." "Monica, promise me," Lewinsky said Tripp begged her.

From "Court papers unsealed this week" Tripp met with Paula Jones attorneys one day prior to the President's deposition on Jan. 17th. "If Tripp shared the contents with the Jones team, she could face another felony count in Maryland." "Disclosing the information from illegally made audiotapes is a felony."

What other details are going to come out about subversion and collaboration of various parties involved in setting this trap. They should research more about the connection with Ken Starr almost being Paula Jones lawyer prior to being independent council? Is there more to this than meets the eye? Could Tripp be some kind of deep cover mole for the enemies of the President? Tune in next week to find out.
