Mike, do you remember Alan Ableson's column when Scholes got the (fake) Nobel Prize? He said something like this: "It is like giving Nobel Peace Prize for Einstein for inventing the atomic bomb. The Black-Scholes model has helped create a multi-trillion dollar time-bomb." [I will post that article when WSJ comes on-line.] How true his words are! Ironically, Scholes is the one who appears to be leading the sheep to financial ruin triggered by the beast called derivatives. -MMV
