Since I do not own a VCR I just viewed the CNN piece on REFR that was broadcast some time ago. While viewing it, it occurred to me that there may be a time (when energy prices escalate or the consequences of global warming escalate) that the Govt. may provide tax incentives to companies that retrofit or buy SPD windows. These windows can be made to either reflect or transmit both light AND heat thus being signficant energy savers. Less energy produced means BOTH lower energy bills for the consumer and less global warming.
