Kemble: You have a vision and understand that Michael Dell will use his time wisely when he talks with the Wall Street analysts on Friday.

I just picked up this new CS First Boston Report on DELL:

9/24/98 DELL --- STRONG BUY

"We expect Dell's semi-annual analyst meeting to be upbeat - company still on track for 57% Q3 earnings growth. The company could discuss leasing, software sales and other means of leveraging customers, in addition to recently announced Internet initiatives Dell is likely to draw attention to steps they are taking to expand the benefits of their distribution model. We believe Dell will discuss customer segmentation by type and geography."

Current Annual EPS Projections:

1/00E $1.35
1/99E $1.05

Hmmmmm............This firm may have some wise analysts. They have given DELL their highest rating and do not list a price target -- maybe they know that DELL IS THE NEXT DELL. <ggg>

IMHO, we should see some great reviews of DELL in the next few days.
These wonderful Wall Street firms should use you as a consultant to help write their reports!!! <ggg>

Have a Good Evening.

-Scott

Kemble,
Just wanted you all to know that we are well and and anticapating GEORGES to hit around 9:30am. It is raining and I can hear the wind blowing but so far so good.
As you can see we still have electricity. Will try to write as long as I can. We have a shelter close by if we need to go to one. Have plenty of food, batteries etc. We have been here since 1961 so this isn't the first hurricane for us to face. John lives on the beach and is in more danger than us. We live far west in Miami away from the beach.

Looks like the market will be down today. Futures down over 10 .
I put an order to buy more DELL today.

Dorine

Re Rob Grogg's Dell post #1
That was one mighty acorn he planted,he is still around and enjoying other high-flying stocks.(AOL not too shabby)
Message 5817829
Naturally it will be the first paragraph in your (forthcoming I hope)book, "Dellionaires",how to meet one and become one"(gggg)
Dell thread is leading the way as one fascinating use of the WEB, helping SI maintain its position as the #1 stock discussion group worldwide.
Your barbeques and the meeting in Austin have demonstrated (thru discussions on the thread) a new and enjoyable aspect of investing, leading to the formation of Dell clubs in NY,NH,FLA,CA,WA. And if Dell hangs together there will be more coming(hehe)
My attorney friends in California are wise enough to "enjoy the moment"( eat lunch as a group in a fine restaurant with several $30 bottle of wine and tell jokes, or build new homes).
Meanwhile I remain impressed with the awesome capabilities of Dell
thread members and the web. Got a tax problem?? I'll just E-mail Chuzz with a question. Need a good discount broker?? someone here will recommend one. Need a hotel room in Austin ?? Just talk to Three,or Donnie, or LOD, or.....
Use of the Web in this manner is just beginning, and the growth will be 'something to see', so I stick with the tech stocks.
But please don't ask me whether Dell is going UP or DOWN today(G)
Regards
Sig

Reminds me of a man in Seattle who became a millionaire by writing a book. He went to the yacht club, talked to 10 or 20 millionaires,
got their stories, and wrote them up. Sold zillions of copies.
