These would be traumatic incidents suffered during mask manufacture. To the medical profession, a trauma is life-threatening injury, the sort of thing emergency rooms usually see after car accidents, gunshots, that sort of thing. In the context of mask manufacture, burning your hand with a mask writing laser probably isn't a trauma, but a major splash with acid etching solution probably is.

This statistic is especially notable because mask making, like semiconductor production, is really pretty safe. Unfortunately, Gonzalez's presentation didn't elaborate.

For those interested, Klaus-Dieter Rinnen of Dataquest gave a very interesting presentation on the mask and equipment industry outlook and the SIA Roadmap. My article on it is written but not posted yet. It should appear tomorrow or Monday.
