BTW...wasn't jiving about AXC being the only stock to survive that screen.I obviously tailored the screen to their strengths, but sure did expect them to have some company. Apparently, for any profitable company, return on assets and net margins like that simply do not usually go with PEs and price to sale ratios that low. Or anywhere close to that low.
Wish I fully understood what is at work here. Maybe a reaction to the negative cash flow from manufacturing operations. But the market, at these levels, does not seem inclined to give AXC even the tiniest benefit of any doubt. I bought a little more, so my guess is that it is simply a bargain. But always a pretty nerve wracking one.
