As per today's NY Times, CPQ was not even listed in their monthly "short position" article. It did not make the charts for the largest increase or largest decrease in short positions. Usually over the past year, CPQ was all the way on top of being the #1 shorted stock.

DELL was in the #3 position of having the largest increase in short positions increasing from 53.3 million shares being shorted as of 08/14/98 to 57.8 million shares being shorted as of 09/15/98.

Can this be a good sign?
