John, all the Mutual funds should buy Dell.

1. Use of leverage was abused to the maximum - approximately 50:1
2. Pyramid schemes = risky business
3. Depending on the expiration of positions, some may end up profitable. (If Leeson could have held out for 3 more months, supposedly his positions would have been in the money)
4. In previous bailouts, the ones providing the capital (i.e. JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs or whomever) ended up making a profit. (will research the particular story)
5. Another Victor Neiderhoffer event.
