Re: acquisition ...

It seems there are several Y2K companies in the same predicament. Many of them have taken big hits.

What say we all pool our monies and create a holding company for Y2K's? We could buy all the companies with depressed stock.

Let's see. I have $7.95 left after all these fiascos. That's good for 2 or 3 companies. Anybody else interested?

In the where do we go from here dept...

The "street" has already written off y2k revenues as a non recurring source of income so that even a positive income (from y2k business) probably would not have moved up the stock up much. However, if in fact the company can show non-y2k revenue or good prospects for same then all may not be lost. From the newly revised IAIC website:

"During the next two years IAI will prepare for the post-2000 era by targeting those clients most likely to require migration. As an example, certain clients have expressed an interest in migrating to an ORACLE database language and a UNIX platform from obsolete languages and mainframe systems. IAI has developed a relationship with ORACLE and Hewlett Packard the companies owning those target environments. This has resulted in these companies bringing potential clients to IAI and working closely with the IAI staff. Future targets for conversions by IAI could include large financial institutions and government agencies that have many millions of lines of legacy code on these platforms."
