>...the Rabins simply should have spun SoftQuad Inc off as a new IPO That would have worked if they had an existing winning strategy, but you don't have a company that has consumed tons of capital, hit the big time and blew it, then say, hey, trust us with this new spin off. No one would underwrite that sound management practice. If they gave it to another company, that other company could package it and IPO (only after several quarters of positive growth).
