It looks like IBM is losing CPU customers.

I guess NSM figured it would lose more that $55 million selling chips made by IBM. I wonder what kind of assets NSM is transfering to IBM.

Also, we can assume now that chips for Compaq will be from NSM fab.

What kills me was this quote:

Why? So they can get stuck with obsolete process technology and get reamed out of another $55,000,000? Please sir, may I have another! Give me a break.

I'm not sure, but I think I remember that as part of the fab deal, Cyrix had to put up some money for processing equipment. These are probably the assets that they are transferring.
