By all means, feel free to disagree with any valuation estimates. Earnings (at least for Ancor) are uncharted seas. A price to sales valuation model would probably be more customary, but the INRANGE deal makes that a bit difficult to calculate. This is a one time deal, but I agree with you that it would be the equivalent of a $14-18 Million OEM deal. Now, if Ancor could follow up with an OEM deal or another one of these licensing/royalty deals... <g>

You know, if Ancor could somehow find a way to leverage the Internet craze, we would all be rich. <g>

Todays issue of IBD featured and article on Veritas Software Corp. In the article there are numerous references to the SAN and the use of fibre channel hubs and switches to move data. Brocade is mentioned specifically, but more importantly was the overall positive growth of SAN and the ending quote of the article. "This market has such an emerging flavor to it...It's premature to pick the winners. There are going to be a lot of opportunities for multiple vendors."
