Disney wary of MSFT - may be a message here

Wonder if AAPL would delay earnings to deprive MSFT of on-the-spot evidence for its DOJ 10/15/98 opening statement that competition is growing ?

" Walt Disney Co. has annual revenues of $22 billion, one of the
best-known brand names in the world and its tentacles in virtually every form
of entertainment, communication and tourism.

But even with those assets, there is one company that Disney casts a
wary eye on - one headquartered in Redmond, Wash.

''Microsoft may be our most daunting competitor,'' writes Disney
Chairman and Chief Executive Michael Eisner
in his new book ''Work in
Progress.''
