JFD,

If INTC is considering buying COMS, I don't it would do so
just because of NICs. It's very obvious the two have lots
of stuff that don't overlap, so INTC would have to sell
off parts of COMS to another. This is too involved, to much
trouble. Much better to just partner with INTC.

Remember, big acquisitions are a no-no, as lots have learned
the hard way. It's also harder now that stock prices
are roughly 50% of what they use to be. Sure companies are
cheaper to buy, but they can't use their own stocks to
buy (which is the best way), and don't want to use cash.
