Jim: Thanks for FCC Chief of Staff post. Let's hear it for backward compatibility. Look forward to Tero's comments. :-) At least Nokia phone is instrument of entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. But the specific southerner lauded ( Al Gore) ain't exactly what Tero's image of southern politicians was in his previous political rants. Does look like the FCC is not exactly playing dead re 3rd gen standards. Curious who else in Regulatory Agencies or the Administration itself (Trade Rep, Commerce Sec'y, or others) are weighing in on backward compatibility issue. Comments? Chaz
