You know, I have to say.... before all this erected.... err I mean erupted....I really thought Clinton was too stupid to be president. Talk about a lack of judgement, and for something that was obviously meaningless to him and manipulative to Monica. I dont know what his feelings were regarding Monica so Im not going to make a judgement call but, it looks like this was a meaningless affair that Clinton had that risked his presidency. At least he picked a genuine individual in Monica vs. the repulsive Paula Jones, fwiw.

So, early on, the president looked bad. The republicans had him, they really did. What he did was wrong.

But beginning with the voyeuristic and corruptionless Starr report, and more recently the overly hyped release of the tapes (where Clinton performed exceptionally) I really think the republicans are either so wound up with their RR agenda that they have lost all reason, or they are just stupid, or both. Kenneth Starr has added a new dimension on the term bad judgement, and the fact the republicans cant see this is bothering me more about their leadership in some ways than their position! Last night on cnbc there was a dem and a republican interviewed by Brit Hume (?). I wonder if that republican guy realized that he came off as an extremist.... and the fact that they CANT SEE THAT is even scarier than their warped views on how to handle this stupid mess.
