All the press surrounding the IPO debut will certainly translate into more page views at EBay as new customers hear about the company and check it out. Also, banners could be used effectively if placed on web pages dealing with collectibles where people are looking for items and they'd gladly click over for a quick search. Has anyone computed the price/sales ratio for EBay based on estimated 1998 sales? It's got to be very high, but I wonder how high. I really hope something causes this stock to drop into the mid 20s or lower, so I will feel justified in buying some.
