3Com Tops August Modem Sales
According to research company PC Data, 3Com held the top three spots for best-selling modems last month. PC Data's figures place 3Com's 56-kilobit-per-second Winmodem in first place, followed by the external and internal versions of the 56-Kbps Faxmodem. The No. 4 and No. 5 spots were held by 33.6-Kbps modems from Digicom and NewCom, respectively.

Regards

Neil

<I can't believe COMS is going up entirely from merger
rumors>IMHO, it's not. Good co, cheap price. Shakeout at 30 almost over. Next week barring major market events, mid 30's. Personally I hope these rumors are put to rest. I'd rather see coms continue to go up on its own merits, not on takeover or merger spec. Coms is a solid co with great products. Lots of cash,no debt, and definitely not in need of being bought out.JMHO
