otherchap, people like this stock. they think it has wal mart potential. hey, nobody is
manipulating them. they've bought the story. the fact the story will NEVER pan out is
beside the point.

perception, not reality, rule the day.

Skeeter,

Your entire post is correct. However, I believe perception will change by Q1 of 99. I know it is a ways off as of yet but Amazon is tracking exactly as I have anticipated fundamentally. There has been a lot of talk that they will not go bankrupt. In my opinion, they will. Signs so obvious of the real fundamental problems will begin to surface. The junk bond money will not last nearly as long has been predicted.

The recent changes in the business model reflect the problem but they will become very clear by the end of Q1 99. I have stated this in the past. I am not good with TA but I am a retailer and I see one that will not work and proof will show soon. This quarter will show only a sequential 10% increase in revenues. Q4 98 will show more respectful increases due to the season. Q1 99 will likely show a decrease. The negative book value will be huge. The junk bond money will be close to half gone. The public is looking at revenues and the drop there will do it.

This post will be here as are my others from last spring. I will be proven correct on the fundamentals and I will tout that aspect like crazy<G>

By the way, they did a good job of hiding the additional dilution of 9.6 million shares of stock in options vested in Jungalee and Planet All. I cannot tell from the SEC filing the specific dates that some can be used if that is the appropriate term. The public believes AMZN bought these two companys at the only rediculous price of 3 million shares but reality is 12.6 million shares. Wow!
