I wish I knew. The only thing I've seen recently that might account for some of it is that Zander reportedly said they were on target (I paraphrase). Of course, these things can be self-feeding if "momentum" investors get involved.

It could also be that somebody with control of some money may have looked closely at the Microsoft suit(s) and liked what they saw, from Sun's perspective.

If 1995 would only repeat itself at this point, my kids' college educations would be paid for, so I'm hopeful.

I was out of town for a while, so haven't seen the ML report to which you refer; do you have a URL for it?

JMHO.

Not that I'm complaining (far from it), but can you, or anyone else
on this thread, explain the recent rise in SUNW???

Hi Cheryl!

I believe it is a number of things, including a bit of a bull run, but, if we could go back a year ago, this is where SUNW was then.
All the other tech stocks have made nice profits since that time
except for SUNW. In my mind, I believe that this is directly related to the MSFT threat(NT + court case). I also believe "investors" are now seeing and believing that neither one of these is a great threat to SUNW. If the numbers continue to be good, I think this stock will continue to climb!
