A little perspective on Presidential indiscretions from CNBC just now:

According to noted historians appearing on the show they basically said the following:.

1) Our founding fathers of this country, Washington, Jefferson and all the early Presidents commonly slept with their slaves and considered sex a private matter not for the public forum.

2) Alexander Hamilton (the gentleman proudly displaying his face on our currency) had multiple affairs with married woman while in office and was bribing the wive's husbands to keep it quiet. When it came to the attention of congress, they privately took him aside and told him to slow down the philandering. They considered it a private matter and never openly discussed it in public.

3) Could the above men have considered infidelity impeachable? Absolutely not, according to these noted historians.

After hearing this it makes you wonder if the founding fathers would have thought the revolutionary war is what they fought to get away from this kind of persecution.
