Michelle, I didn't say I didn't like Hillary.

I said I thought she was less centrist than her husband.

I think Hillary is a bit holier than thou, in the left mode of that sentiment. I also think she's real smart, and elegant, and good looking as well.

I think she's mellowed in a good way the last few years.

I do rather like you, I should add. <gg> Nice combination of brains, empathy, wit, and some occasional vinegar.

(Now I imagine I've done and gotten myself in a world of trouble.<gg>)

Doug

Touche', Michelle. Forgot what a rough haul she's had married to Bill. <vbg>

Btw, I saw Gore on TV today... Never seen him so animated... He vowed to fight the Republicans "every step of the way" on the Social Security issue.

And Clinton has started being feisty too. Nice to see the hunted turning into hunter! Looking forward to the massive drubbing that the Repubs will get, come November.

Dipy.

It's nothing personal. It's what she did at Legal Services Corp, Cattle Futures Grift, Rose Law Firm, the Health Care Task Force, the Travel Office Firings, and probably a few others I don't have recall of at this moment. Her ghost-written book, "It Takes a Village", is idiotic also. Other than that, she's probably average I guess.

Michelle, personally I think Hillary is attractive enough, although Joe Klein did quite a hatchet job on her in "Primary Colors". "I've never made love to a woman who used hairspray before". The "liberal" media has never been kind to Clinton.

Politically, though, she be bad. As in skills, not ideology. Start with the handoff of critical cabinet appointments to her, leading to a headless DoJ for months as nannygate raged while she looked for the right woman. Then there was the National Health Care botch. It might have been impossible to get anything through, hard to say in retrospect. But the long secret gestation of the non-starter Hillary plan really did Clinton in good, and put Newt in the speaker's chair.

Cheers, Dan.
