In my limited dealings with the SEC (as little as possible) I have
never heard of such a stupid notion that the SEC would tell a
broker in advance of impending action. In my over 20 years of
public practice this rumor rates right up there with
" I did not have sex with that woman." When the SEC takes action
the act first and explain later.
