the only short term problem, as i see it is that ceo liebenow blamed the entire earnings problem on the y2k switch-over in july, and would only affect the present quarter. the next day the company said the short fall was also affected by increased exports, and sales would be flat in 99. these kind of conflicting statements cause institutions (66.64% of qfab stock) to get nervous. insiders hold 23.25 % of qfab, so the float has to be low. the base seems to be 5 dollars, so i'm looking for nowhere but up. i think a stock buy back could be used to calm the institutions and boost the price.
