Y2K problems for Medicare, beneficiaries, and providers is a story in today's NY Times "Congress Fears Medicare Will Miss Deadlines for Change":(free registration)

A delay PM'ers know about is mentioned:
A new Medicare benefit for people with diabetes has been partly carried out; patients can get coverage for blood-testing supplies and equipment and monitors, but expanded coverage for the education and training of people with diabetes has been delayed.

What a sad mess. :-(

TD -

OT: Just got back from a long and great tournament [92 entries from 13 colleges]; each member of our team played 4 or more matches and won at least one match. We've got two girls in the Consolation Finals tommorrow. Regarding the wine, I've already tested 9 out of the 12 bottles that I purchased at the Biltmore and they were all fine :-). Hence my recommendation to you will require no further testing :-(
