Last(Scott) & all -Observations re today's trades. etc. Hope you feel well again Scott, your performance indicates so. I am playing stock games in an attempt to learn short term, trend lines, gaps, etc. My real account is primarily a bit longer term. if I paper or trade monopoly money, I find success somewhat easier & I may even 'cheat' a bit at times. Going through your trades & advice today Scott, I marvel at the great calls & success. I erred by entering golds at open (9:51 in game) & was at the day's high. Bad judgement. Looking at yours to see how I would have fared with such trades in my Yahoo game shows their delays would hurt me a lot but the game does give some advantages. Orders are only filled after a 1/2 hr delay, which is tough, but only a $10. fee on any trade & unlimited size of orders. I calculate you (& Rookie Dave) had potential for a 10% gain on SMTK, although Dave's may not have filled. Had I played that in my game, I could have made apx 5%. Your calls to enter ATHM, MU, MTIC, at open, were excellent! Gains of 3%, 10% & 9% are realistic, perhaps more with holding MU over. With the game delays, I may have lost a bit on ATHM, had similar profit potential with MU & broken even or very small gain on MTIC. Next week, I think I will closely follow your thread & see how it works out using the calls given here, including Jaylons gaps when I agree with them & the delay doesn't appear a big threat. Incidentally, in my Sept Yahoo game, I am up 15% in just under 3 wks(missed first week) using $100g. This is acceptable but I am disappointed in that, I believe you would be up minimum 100%, Scott. Will be lurking - feel well & good calls next week. tide
