Shouldn't going from a 100 Mhz bus to a 200 Mhz bus help?

Pravin,

If it reduces L2 and/or dram latencies, it will definitely help. The improved bandwidth will also have some positive impact on Winstone performance.

I can't believe that AMD would release the K7 with poorer Winstone performance than the K6-2

I wasn't suggesting that K7 will run Winstone slower than K6, just that the MP bus does carry some overhead for memory latency. Your assertion that K7 will run Winstone clock for clock faster than K6-2 is undoubtably correct.
