Engineer,

Tero keeps trumpeting the tremendous talk and standby times of the NOKIA phones. Is there any fundamental reason why Q is not keeping up?

Thanks,

dave

Engineer thanks for the clear answer. TaiChi, thanks for raising the question. This brings up the possibility of a computer with a built in cdma hdr modem being able to access the net from anywhere there is cdma reception and recieving video quality images or superfast data downloads without any wired connection. This opens up a whole new market -- those who don't want to talk on wireless phones, just use the wireless modems for internet and intranet connections.

Does this data connection require an ongoing connection thereby occupying bandwidth during dead time or is it fast enough and sophisticated enough to use a packet principle and only connect when information is flowing?
