Yaah... you know...Instead of shorting the Internuts, I'm actually a little bit ashamed to admit that I'm actually thinking about blowing my "play" money [read that as money I certainly don't want to lose] and simply buying 1000 shares of YHOO. Here's a stock selling at a PE of God knows what, but only $3-$4 off its 52 week high!!!! Even after all this market shit! I mean, you don't have to worry about earnings [there aren't any to speak of]; you don't have to worry about whether gold is in a long term uptrend as Barron's intimated this weekend or whether it's just short covering by Long Term Capital Management; you don't have to worry about whether there are other hedge funds out there with derivative losses equaling or exceeding LTCM [even if anyone other than AG actually knows what their losses actually are]; you don't have to worry whether the Fed action to lower interest rates [some say by 50 basis points between now and December, some say nothing less than 100 will do] will stabilize the world economy long enough to allow bad debts to be settled quietly behind closed doors, or whether it will be unsuccessful and the shit will hit the fan - BUY THE INTERNUTS AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY! The paradox: When all is turning, in LT's words, to POS, if you BUY A DREAM, you don't have to worry! All this IMHO, after too much spaghetti, manicotti, Chianti, Chilean Merlot, after dinner Schnapps, Irish whiskey, etc.
BTW! My trader cousin said he bought calls on: AXP, CCI [!!???!!!]
and WAMU.
