One of the reason for the bearish mood I guess is that corporate earnings are going down. Just saw on TV that some analysts showed the charts that earnings for S&P500 in 95 96 straight up then 97 98 is much lower and so for 99. Well I might not pay attention carefully (some will try to sell some kind of funds or fixed income?)but plan to do more research w/ solid numbers of the past and estimates for the future.
But recently in the ads of Wade Cook he does not mention any more the book " Bear Market Baloney " after the drops recently.
About China you say the Chinese accept less exports, more unemployment, try better productivity, increase domestic consumption than devaluate the yuan? But how long they can hold on if Asia and Japan still in the lump.
