Raymond,

Let's take one example for now with Mohammad. Didn't Mohammad teach this in Mecca, to worship Allah, along with the sun-goddesses, the daughters of Allah. Their names were Al-Lat, Al-Uzza and Manat. Allah was one of the names used for the MOON god who was married to the sun goddess. Together they produced three goddesses. Wasn't this one of the premises in his teachings in Mecca at one point?

Muhammad in Mecca ascribed to this belief and told the Meccans to worship Allah this way, including the goddesses in their worship. Later Mohammad recanted this worship, stating that Satan had put Satanic verses in his mouth, which which was now revealed to him. When he told the Meccans this, wasn't it one of the reasons he was driven out of the city?

And if I am not mistaken, and I will go back to my studies if you need the exact passage in the Islamic writings, isn't the notion that Satan put Satanic verses in his mouth, and all prophets of God's mouths at one time, stated right in the Hadith (the teachings of Mohammed)?

And if what I say is true, how could we believe anything Mohammad says? If Satan put the above verses about the goddesses in his mouth, whatever else Mohammad said must be in question as maybe Satan putting it in his mouth, shouldn't they?

Can this be a prophet of God, when he told the Meccans at one point to worship pagan Gods and goddesses?

God Bless,
Steve
