Tim - I'll back you up. Really appreciate the work you do for us, not yourself!

Guess I'll buy lottery tickets this week if the beer spending leaves me any money. I owe the bunch of you a round.

Just goes to show picking stocks is more luck than brains, I'll enter next week again but probably get the booby prize.

Cheers to all!

tide

Tim, I agree with Sandra. Thanks for all the research, willingness to share ideas and your warm, unpretentious attitude. I get up at 5:30 AM (Pacific Time) and read your thread...learning and getting ready to jump in.

Tim,

I just discovered your thread this morning -- it's great and I thank you for starting it. I have occasionally read your comments on other threads for some time and have always been impressed with your knowledge, your "street smarts" and your levelheaded manner. Sorry to see that someone is looking for some sort of personal angle in your posts. I strongly disagree and I appreciate your insight.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but what's your opinion on WND? The stock really got hammered this week due to a shortfall in earnings -- they acquired a home products division from Black & Decker which isn't performing as expected. On Monday the stock closed at almost 19. Today it's less than 7, yet the book value is nearly 10. IMHO, it's way, way oversold.

Thanks in advance and please keep up the good work.

Best Regards,
Hardrocker

Tim---Good Morning from Southern CA. I really enjoy your thread--you explained in the beginning, that the idea is to share opinions on stocks, that may make a move one way or the other, take a position--if you choose-- do your own DD, and take responsibility for your own trades. I'm working on my pick for this weeks contest, I want a t-shirt! Jan

Tim,

I just read the WSJ Interactive article which profiled you as a "day trader".

I was wondering if you "day-trade" using a simple retail, web-based, $10/trade on-line account, or are you using a Level-II (or similar) system.

Do you consider retail, web-based e-trading to be "day trading"?

Thanks,

Steve
