"The point to me is that this is the 3rd insider selling large amounts of stock."

...and if HD were a pennystock i'd share your concern.
but we're talking about an industry leader here.
people like Bill Gates and Michael Dell sell millions of shares
at a time, on a fairly regular basis.
these folks have expenses. it's not a reflection on the company,
or its status.

where does it say we can take profits, and the people who got
us here, can't ?

edward.

while i don't want to rehash the relative merits of this data point,
i do think it's important to note that the form 144's you and
newstrader have cited are corporate insider's SEC forms indicating an
intention to sell. form 4's are actual sales.

additionally, if possible, some frame of reference would be helpful
as opposed to 'blindly' posting some officer's or executive's
(intended) sale(s). (you've stepped into a tough, devoted, hammer-
wielding crowd; home improvement is an addiction after all....) for
example, one of the recent posts indicated that director berry cox
filed a form 144 for 206,250 shares. even if he dumped them all,
he'd still be holding another 1.4M shares (and i'm sure he's got more
options coming).

finally, for perspective, all executives and directors as a group
have nearly 47M shares.

one man's opinion, of course.
