I think I mentioned before that Qualcomm has made an agreement to use the Palm Pilot OS in new generations of phones. Convergence of portable phone and hand held computer seem inevitable, but it's also a question of timing.

I wonder what the limitations of a Palm Pilot type phone computer would be? Is it held back by storage, processing power, or interface to the net? Certainly seems like all these issues are quickly being over come.

Anyway, here's a link; mercurycenter.com

By the way, they don't mention it, but a device like this would be online much more than a phone. Eventually, you would aim toward a model where the device would never be off line. Or do you redefine on and offline? Maybe an e-mail would ring your phone?

Regards,

Mark
