Does anyone here know if LTCM was among the hedge funds involved in the recent showdown with the HKMA? I know that's not what pushed them over the edge, but I wonder if their losses on Russian paper were following after a less than profitable excursion into HK.

Whatever the cause, I'm willing to toast the demise of almost any hedge fund.
