Michael, Your speculation would make sense, especially if they're confident in future sales. Holding out on price would be indicitive of a company that is confident about future sales and is therefore willing to take the hit on a stock price now (or doesn't care much about it in the short term). On the other hand, poor forward visibility is something to be very cautious about as an investor...getting better channel visibility is really the blocking and tackling of a CFO's job. The fact that they were this surprised, and in this way, is worrisome. Thanks for the informative post. -OGM
