Why do you expect IBM to shine at this time? IBM was my choice for my under the pillow puts this weekend as I am dumbfounded by their recent rise despite their over whelming foreign exposure. I always make sure I have some insurance puts over the weekend and liked IBM because when they do drop, THEY DROP! Seems like they climb a point or 3 slowly but drop 5-10 points at a time when things get ugly.

I am planning on going long on my usual earnings plays soon and want to offset them with some protective puts on some higher issues with the probability of dropping faster than my longs. Are you planning on any protection when you finally buy your DELL to hold long?

I am unsettled in the fact that this is the historic time frame to get in before pre-earnings rallies yet I think that a big drop could happen any time from here on out especially around from the 9th on. Don't want to miss the rallies (greed) yet afraid if the drop (fear). Guess that is what makes a market. <g>
