This thing is turning fast on Congressional Republicans -- they are now looking and sounding very timid on the floor of the House -- Independent voters are for the first time since the scandal broke -- breaking toward the Democrats -- talk about facts and justice all you want -- your moral superiority can not change reality -- David Maranis (Washington Post/Clinton Biographer) wrote a while ago -- that every time Clinton has screwed up -- he's found himself up against opponents that are inept and screw up so bad that Clinton finds an escape hatch. History is repeating itself -- the Republicans have over played their hand -- the escape hatch has flung wide open -- and Republicans are now cornered -- If they move towards impeachment -- they will blow themselves up with Democrats and worse -- Independents -- if they do not proceed with impeachment they will blow themselves up with their Republican core voters and many of those on this thread that want the President's head -- Either way -- they started this by trying to paint the President into a corner -- they painted someone into a corner all right -- themselves -- now they are looking for a way out -- and guess who doesn't have an escape hatch -- and Clinton won't ever give them one. They had the President in their sights -- and because of ideological zealotry they've become blinded -- mark my words and this post -- this one has turned -- the President has once again found himself a group of inept opponents -- they've fired off their best rounds only to realize the big fat target was themselves.
